BMDC login & renewal: a doctor’s step-by-step guide

The BM&DC E-Payment portal is the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council’s online system where a registered doctor creates a user account, pays council fees online, uploads the documents a service needs and checks its delivery status. How do I log in to the BM&DC portal?

Create a user account once, with the registration number and date printed on your BM&DC certificate, then log in with your username, password and a captcha. The link called “Webmail Login” on bmdc.org.bd is the council’s webmail, not the doctors’ portal.

1. Open the BM&DC E-Payment portal. Go to payment.bmdc.org.bd. The online-payment banner on the council’s own site, bmdc.org.bd, links here, and the portal itself recommends Mozilla Firefox for the best display.
2. Create your user account (first time only). Click Register to open User Registration. Choose your current registration status (Full Registered, Prov. Registered or Medical Assistant) and type (Medical or Dental), then enter your registration number as digits only, without the “A-”, your registration date as printed on your certificate, and the captcha.
3. Finish the on-screen steps. Follow the portal’s remaining prompts to set up your account. If your username and password never reach you, the portal’s FAQ says to give your registration details to its Customer Support, who will send the login details to your phone.
4. Log in. Open User Login and enter your username, your password and the captcha.
5. Reset a forgotten password. Use Forgot your username/password? It asks for your registration details, your date of birth as on your NID and your mobile number; a “Forget Mobile Number” link shows a hint of the number on record. When we checked in September 2026 the reset went by e-mail only, and retrieval by mobile was marked “not available right now”.

How do I renew my BM&DC registration online?

You pay for renewal on the E-Payment portal and upload your documents there, then collect the renewed certificate at the BM&DC office with a set of the same documents. The portal’s Fee Structure lists renewal of full registration (MBBS/BDS) at ৳2,000 and a separate late fee for renewal of ৳1,000, with a 10% online service charge added to every fee (BM&DC fee list, last updated 31 December 2023).

1. Download the Application Form for Renewal of Full Registration from the portal’s Forms & Applications page and fill it in.
2. Gather the documents listed below and have the photocopies attested.
3. Log in, pay the renewal fee online and upload the documents. The portal asks you to prepare them before you proceed to payment.
4. Collect the renewed certificate at the BM&DC, bringing a set of the same documents.
5. Track it on Check Payment/Delivery Status with your payment receipt number, payment date and the mobile number shown on the receipt. The same page re-prints the online payment receipt.

Documents for renewal

From the BM&DC’s renewal requirements and the portal’s renewal panel:

• The duly filled Application Form for Renewal of Full Registration.
• Your original BM&DC Full Registration Certificate (if it is laminated, a photocopy along with it).
• Your original MBBS/BDS certificate and a photocopy.
• A copy of your twelve-digit e-TIN.
• A photocopy of the acknowledgement receipt or certificate of your income-tax return for the latest fiscal year.
• A photocopy of your National Identity Card (NID).

Photocopies must be attested by a registered physician or a first-class gazetted officer, with seal, signature and date. Payments go through SSLCommerz; the portal’s FAQ lists VISA, MasterCard, American Express, DBBL, bKash and Rocket.

How long does it take, and how often is renewal due? The BM&DC pages we read publish neither a processing time nor a renewal interval. Check the official BM&DC portal and your certificate for the current fee, steps and due date.

Can I update my doctor profile on the BM&DC website?

The BM&DC’s public pages do not describe a self-service “edit profile” screen, and we cannot see inside a logged-in account. What they do document are three changes to your registration — an address change, a name correction and a photo change if the photo is damaged — each made by an application with supporting documents, a fee paid on the portal, and a visit to the BM&DC.

For all three, the applicant must be present at the BM&DC premises to submit and collect the documents on the day of certificate delivery. For an address change or name correction the BM&DC’s own page also asks for your latest income-tax return acknowledgement.

Lost your registration certificate?

That is a Duplicate Certificate (৳1,500 on the portal). Its requirement panel on the Fee Structure page asks for, among other things, a General Diary (GD) from the police station, advertisements in two national daily newspapers quoting your registration number and the GD number, and an affidavit.

How do I get a BM&DC Good Standing Certificate?

Apply with the Good Standing application form, stating your reason, and pay the fee online: ৳3,000 for a Bangladeshi MBBS/BDS doctor on the portal’s fee list, plus the 10% online service charge. You submit your documents on the day the certificate is delivered, and doctors in government service apply through their controlling officer (BM&DC: Certificate of Good Standing).

• The Good Standing application form, stating your reason, with documentary evidence.
• Your bio-data with work experience, naming the places and duration of work.
• A character certificate from a registered physician or a first-class gazetted officer, quoting their registration number, with seal and signature.
• A photocopy of your valid BM&DC Full Registration Certificate.
• Two recent passport-size photographs, attested on the back.
• A performance certificate from your last employer (in Bangladesh or abroad).
• The form “Declaration by a Medical Practitioner / Dentist”, signed by you.
• Your original MBBS/BDS certificate and a photocopy.
• Your twelve-digit e-TIN certificate (with its QR code).
• A photocopy of your latest income-tax return acknowledgement and of your NID.

Both the application form and the declaration form are on the portal’s Forms & Applications page. Photocopies need the same attestation as for renewal.

What is the BM&DC ID card (Portable Registration Card)?

The BM&DC’s fee list has no item called an “ID card”; the card it lists is the Portable Registration Card (MBBS/BDS), at ৳300 on the Fee Structure page. Its requirement panel asks for the online payment receipt, the Application Form for Portable Registration Card, your original full registration certificate, your e-TIN and your NID. The public register at verify.bmdc.org.bd has a Portable Registration Card tab that looks a card up by its Portable Card Number.

How do I check my own record on the BM&DC register?

Search your number the way a patient would: on verify.bmdc.org.bd choose the MBBS/BDS Doctor tab, enter your BM&DC Full Registration Number and doctor type (MBBS or BDS), and complete the captcha. The site says requests for detailed verification go by e-mail to info@bmdc.org.bd. Want the number formatted first? Why does your BM&DC number matter on your prescriptions?

Because it is the identifier a patient or a pharmacist can check without calling you. The official register is public and searchable by registration number, and the council publishes its decisions: the news list on bmdc.org.bd carries notices when a full registration is suspended. A current, correctly printed number is what lets anyone confirm that a prescription came from a registered doctor.

Prescriply is prescription software for registered Bangladeshi doctors. Once you add your BM&DC registration number, it prints the number with your name on every prescription and its shared copy, and every sheet carries a scannable verify link that patients and pharmacies can open. When a Prescriply admin has manually reviewed and approved the number you submitted, the printed sheet adds a “Reg. checked” date and the shared online copy shows a “Reg. verified by Prescriply” badge — a manual review, not an automated check against the BM&DC register.
